HOW IS THE CORONA VIRUS RELATED TO MEV-1 IN CONTAGION MOVIE (2011)

In Contagion, a movie directed by Steven Soderbergh which was released in September 3, 2011, the virus  which was termed MEV-1 originated from Hong Kong, (China) and the Coronavirus is also believed to have originated from the same place; A 55-year-old individual from Hubei province in China may have been the first person to have contracted COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus spreading across the globe. That case dates back to Nov. 17, 2019, according to the South Morning China Post.

However, by incorporating genetic sequences from a pig virus, this new combination virus can now be spread easily by coughing, sneezing, or even talking. (Ehle’s explanation is entirely plausible. Pigs and humans share the same viral receptors on cells that line the nose and throat.

Viruses travel as fast as we do. With the H1N1 influenza outbreak (H1N1 is a novel virus, meaning that the human immune system has no previous experience battling it) that began in Mexico, we saw the first cases in April 2009. Throughout March and April 2009, international air travelers on flights from Mexico were unknowingly transporting H1N1 and spreading it around the world by the time the World Health Organization declared an influenza pandemic in June 2009.

In the movie, Damon’s character basically isolates himself and his family. In reality, you would probably do the same thing. You stay away from crowds, use a lot of hand sanitizers and do everything in your power to stay away from anyone who is infected. That’s how we control outbreaks of Ebola (a severe and often fatal disease in humans, monkeys and chimpanzees characterized by high fever and severe internal bleeding), for example. We separate the sick from the well, and if someone shows any signs of infection, we isolate them.

Unfortunately, using today’s standards, it would take years to develop a vaccine. But obviously if we had a disease killing one out of four people, that process would speed up exponentially. The movie portrays a complex story, and yes, it could happen in real life.

Forsythia

In the Contagion movie, Forsythia was the medicine that Jude Law, the Blogger used to heal himself although it was said that he faked his ailment. According to my findings on WebMD, I believe Forsythia might be of help for curing the corona virus. Forsythia is a plant whose fruit is mostly used for medicine. It is used for treating swelling of small air passages in the lung (bronchiolitis), tonsillitissore throat, fever, vomitingheart diseaseHIV/AIDS, gonorrhea, pain and swelling (inflammation), and a severe skin rash with fever and vomiting caused by a bacterium (erysipelas) and most of the symptoms of the coronavirus are included such as fever, sore throat, shortage of breath, pains and fatigue.

Developing research suggests that children with bronchiolitis due to a particular infection (respiratory syncytial virus infection) get over their symptoms faster when given a combination of forsythia, honeysuckle, and Baikal skullcap intravenously (by IV).

Forsythia also has the ability to slow blood clotting. Therefore taking forsythia along with medications that also slow clotting might increase the chances of bruising and bleeding. Some medications that slow blood clotting include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), diclofenac (Voltaren, Cataflam, others), ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others), naproxen (Anaprox, Naprosyn, others), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, warfarin (Coumadin), and others. Therefore avoid taking Forsythia alongside the above mentioned medications.

How the Corona Virus looks

I highly recommend forsythia to scientists to be studied very well as it may help cure the coronavirus. It is also believed that every sickness has its treatments and it can mostly be found at the roots or origin of the sickness itself. Therefore if the coronavirus originated from Asia and the Forsythia plant is also grown in Asia, then they can be inter-related.
