There has been a serious fire outbreak at Kwame Nkrumah Circle, popularly known as Circle. According to information, the fire started late in the night around 1:00 am and has been burning seriously from that time to this morning.
According to reports, the fire outbreak took place around the GCB Tower (Ghana Commercial Bank) heading towards the Taxi Rank. The fire is also believed to have been fueled by the plastics sold by traders around making it even more unsafe for nearby properties.
Witnesses at the scene are speculating the cause of the fire is electrical faults as a result of illegal electricity connection but the cause has not yet been confirmed or disclosed by the Ghana National Fire Service team who came to the rescue trying their best to bring the fire under control.
This is not the first time such a fire outbreak has occurred here neither is it the second or third time. We hope the government and the authority concerned would put up necessary measures to help solve this problem once and for all.
