FIRE OUTBREAK AT OPERA SQUARE, ACCRA

Fire has gutted a building in Opera Square, Accra.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire started around 4pm. The witnesses says that they initially found someone welding inside the building around 2pm so they didn’t give their attention to it.

But they however realised that smoke had started coming out of the building around 4pm. Shortly after that, they heard a blasting sound out of the building and the fire started.
According to the witnesses, the National Fire Service got to the scene about 30 minutes after the fire.

But there seem to be no much improvement as the fire is still serious at the time of this report.
There are about 8 fire fighting cars and  1 ambulance at the scene.

Fortunately,  there has been no casualties as the building the fire started out is a wholesale shop (warehouse) although there are other institutions like a bank adjoining it.
